The CMR at Nelson Mandela University hosted an Italy-South Africa bilateral workshop organised by the Italian embassy on 1 and 2 December. The theme of this workshop was “Green Solutions and Marine Biodiversity for a Sustainable Blue Growth”.
This bilateral workshop brought together Italian and South African researchers and institutional government representatives with an interest in several disciplines of the marine sector.
Collaborations on themes such as sustainable fisheries, aquaculture and ecologicalo solutions for the coastal systems in a context of preservation of the natural systems and marine biodiversity were discussed, and aimed at building strong and mutually interesting cooperation.
